Being nurse in Brazil or USA.....

What's the difference between being a nurse in Brazil and USA?? I wrote about it already, but in my language (portuguese), but now I want to discussing in english.

I'm a tecnical nurse in Brazil is like a nurse the difference is the tecnical nurse studies two and a half years and  nurse (RN) studies 4 years.
In my opinion being a tecnical nurse is more than being a CNA (certified nurse assistant) or a LPN (License practical Nurse). I have reserched on the internet that LPN is 1 year of studying and CNA that I did is no more than 3 months and RN is 3 or 4 years I dont know exactly.
Actualy, I did the CNA course and I didnt learn anything it was just the basics like:
Hand washing;
Change sheets;
Bathing in bath;
feeding'
Walking with gail belt;
Change resident's position;
Empity contents of resident's urinary drainage bag and record;
Provide mouth care and nail care;
some exercicies for elbow, wrist, shoulder, hip, knee and anklee.

I didnt learn how to draw blood, measure blood pressure, temperature, how to find a vein, how to insert a tube, probe or carater or feeding by naso-gastric tube, medication,or how to medicate a resident this is only for LPN or RN.
The CNA is not able to do anything on the patient, just give them a bath, changing diapers or feeding, however it is can be the first step to know if you will like to being a nurse aide or LPN in USA and learn how the health sistem works.

The uniform are completely different form there to here. In Brazil we use white clothe with whie medical coat or aprons.
Usa they have several kinds of nurses like CNA, LPN, RN, midwife, doctor nurse, home health aide and etc.
In Brazil there is only two kinds of nurses is Tecnical nurse and a registered nurse,. Some years ago they had more kinds of nurses, but nowadays is only that.

By the way I didnt pass the test in NYC, but I went Red Cross and they allowed to do test here in Massachusetts, so Im getting ready to do test and I really would like to pass that time. wish me lucky!!!
