Being nurse in Brazil or USA.....

What's the difference between being a nurse in Brazil and USA?? I wrote about it already, but in my language (portuguese), but now I want to discussing in english.

I'm a tecnical nurse in Brazil is like a nurse the difference is the tecnical nurse studies two and a half years and  nurse (RN) studies 4 years.
In my opinion being a tecnical nurse is more than being a CNA (certified nurse assistant) or a LPN (License practical Nurse). I have reserched on the internet that LPN is 1 year of studying and CNA that I did is no more than 3 months and RN is 3 or 4 years I dont know exactly.
Actualy, I did the CNA course and I didnt learn anything it was just the basics like:
Hand washing;
Change sheets;
Bathing in bath;
feeding'
Walking with gail belt;
Change resident's position;
Empity contents of resident's urinary drainage bag and record;
Provide mouth care and nail care;
some exercicies for elbow, wrist, shoulder, hip, knee and anklee.

I didnt learn how to draw blood, measure blood pressure, temperature, how to find a vein, how to insert a tube, probe or carater or feeding by naso-gastric tube, medication,or how to medicate a resident this is only for LPN or RN.
The CNA is not able to do anything on the patient, just give them a bath, changing diapers or feeding, however it is can be the first step to know if you will like to being a nurse aide or LPN in USA and learn how the health sistem works.

The uniform are completely different form there to here. In Brazil we use white clothe with whie medical coat or aprons.
Usa they have several kinds of nurses like CNA, LPN, RN, midwife, doctor nurse, home health aide and etc.
In Brazil there is only two kinds of nurses is Tecnical nurse and a registered nurse,. Some years ago they had more kinds of nurses, but nowadays is only that.

By the way I didnt pass the test in NYC, but I went Red Cross and they allowed to do test here in Massachusetts, so Im getting ready to do test and I really would like to pass that time. wish me lucky!!!

Boston vs New York

What do I know about Boston and NYC? I dont know that much, but I can give you my opinion because I've lived in both cities Boston and NYC I mean not Boston but Framingham, MA which is very close from Boston and I always go to Boston because I think Framingham is very quiet.
NYC and Boston are both big cities, but very different in feeling. I love those cities and they are very beautiful cities, however Boston is more fancy than NYC and some parts of NYC are very dirty.

Cambrige area in Boston and bicycles.

I like cambrige, somerville and quincy they are very near to Boston and They are pretty diverse. there are people from all over the world and the city of Boston is a little over 50% black people, but other suburban town is Boston are overwhelmingly white people though some suburban have a higher percentage of asian residents like Turkey and Russian every wesdnesday I have conversation class at the library and there are a big amount of Russian people.

 Framingham town and cushing Park.

                                                     Mount Vernon Town, NY

The area is very diverse, but not as diverse as NYC. No Comparison!!! Being safe kind of depends where you are in Boston or NYC because crimes exits everywhere, but most of the worst violent crimes happen in small neigborhoods as in Framingham, MA or Bronx, NY, but this is what people says I dont think so. Anyway, I find that Boston is pretty safe, but a lot of NYC is pretty safe too.

Rents are almost always lower in MA than NYC. Of course There are some places expensives like back bay, Becan hill are pretty expensives, but still cheaper than NYC. A lot of other things are cheaper in Boston than NYC like Subway, car insurance, gas and groceries. For exemplo: when I was living in NYC my room rent was 450,00 and here in Framingham is 350,00 of course in NY my room was better than here and the city that I lived was very near to Manhattan and I spent more money with food over there than here.

                                                       House in Framingham, MA

House in White Plains, NY.

My simple and cheap room in Framingham.

                                                       My last room in NYC

Boston's Public Transportation in my opinion are good, but from Framingham to Boston are vey bad, they dont have a good schedule and shut down very early and the service is not good here. NYC's subway they are good, but if you dont know the are or dont have any map you can get lost and crazy easily. When I came to NYC the subway drove me crazy sometimes because it is too crowded and there is a big distance to cover and I need to transfer many time and it could take a long to get home, but for me NYC's transportation still the best one in USA and NYC is the only place you will not need a car for anything. Its easy in NYCto find apt or hotelvery near to the subway, but in Boston I really dont know about it.

train station in Framingham to Boston

                                              Subway in Manhattan, NYC
People in Boston are healthier and looks more beautiful than NYC. People in NYC are always rush and they alwways say: "TIME IS MONEY". If you go to boston like in Cambrige you will see most the people running at the Park, riding bicycle or walking, but in NYC if you do that you need to be carefull because there is a lot of traffic and the taxi cabs are very crazy in the city or you can only do your exercise at the Central Park.

                                                      Central Park, NYC

                                                Park in Boston.
The women have diferent bevarior in NYC. They are more sexy, agressive and pushy than over here in Boston. They always say: "if you dont take the guy another one will come and take it". In the beginning I thought it was so agressive, but now I can understand and other adverbs they always say is: "WHEN IN ROME, DO WHAT THE ROMANS DO".

English they always some program for free in Boston, you dont learn english because you dont want not because you dont time or even dont have money. In NYC they have some english program for free like here, but you need wait for long time and sometimes they are not good like here, at the end you have to pay for it. Since I move here I got some english classes like conversation and pronunciation and I got as well a tutor so Im studying enlgish and I dont pay anything, isnt amazing!!?

Well, Im not an american girl I'm from Brazil and I dont think that I can give you any advice or opnions, but I would recomended vititing both cities for at least a week to get a true feeling for them and use the public transpotation in both cities during rush hour.
Anyway, if you are backpacking or visiting just go to both cities, it is worth!! but if you are looking for a job or oportunities those are good as well, but you should know how much your future income will be and ask yourself about the cost of livig in these cities and then you can make up your mind.

Talking about myself...

I was invited to write an essay how I see myself from outside and inside (looks/ character/ personality) As if I was telling someone who has been watching me... Here it is:

Dear Friends let me know if u have something else to add and please dont get picky on my bad english spelling.

I always have had straight hair with freckels and dark eyes, white skin with a unique latino smile. Native from Brazil and I have no fears of people, languages or cultures because all they provide me oportunities to learn from them and grow and understand how the world is magic.

27 years old, born and raised in a difficult situation who reads my blog knows what im talking about it, but I got the best mother ever. Love to share and try what is good and have butterflies inside... Study and work is necessary, but if there is no fun and vision for the future it is not worth it!! Grateful for my schooling from pre-school all the way to tecnico nurse school.

I'm not enjoying that much my current job right now because they always take advantage of me and they dont pay me good enought, but I can't complimt a lot because Im immigrant and this job supports my dreams. I dont like to cook and I even dont know how to cook, but I love to try nes tastes and spices.

Dancing is the way I naturally expres my passion for life and apreciation for my body as divine gift. My mother means everything to me I can't think of being who I'm or even to progress in life without thinking of her. I'm jealous of my brother, a little crazy woman who sometimes doesnt know what want, but Im a hard worker and a nice person who doesnt want to give up my dreams. Going out with a nice colombian guy for while, Im enjoying his company but for now I dont know if we ar going work out we ar just getting know each other.

onde day will come kids with a lovely husband who will make my life even more blessed. Yesterday was a thanksgiving day and I everything I have to say that Im very thanksfull with everything in my life.
where are all these words came from?? Ohh, all from me!! Yes me Formally called as JAQUELINE ELLER and casually Jack.

Friday, November 2, 2012. New York City – Lower Manhattan is without electricity and Residents in Downtown Manhattan were without electricity for more than 1 week.

Hurricane Sandy caused extensive damage along last week and blows a strong and wild wind. Sandy made landfall in southern New Jersey and brought with it big flooding and power outges. New York City was especially hard hit and many people dead there. New York city took a vacation while last week without power, no train, no bus and no subway works and people coulnt go to work.

Hi, Here I'm again!!!
Like always my teacher ask me to write an essay as a homework.
I wrote about WINNING THE LOTTERY!!! here it is:

Winning the lottery would change your life??? Well, last weekend at my job I was talking about winning the lottery with my co-workers and many of them told me about buying expensive cars, big and fancy houses, go to the bank and pay off the mortgage, deposit 1,000,000 on family's accounts, buying new refrigerator, washier and dryer machine, new kitchen, buying a gym, open their own business or even buying an expensive Luis Vuitton purse. lol.
If I suddenly aquired a windfall of money it would change my life forever. No work anymore, just kidding!! lol. First I wouldn't tell nobody about it even my mother.
Second O would talk to an financial adviser about how to transfer a percentage of the money consertative investment accounts.
third I would build many apartments and rent all of them, travel all over the world with my new trailer bus and I will open my own business, so I could be my own boss and do what I lke.
Last, I would not to try get crazy with a lot money because many people will love than ever or will want to get money for them from me and perhaps will kill me because they can get jealous of me.
Well, that's my idea about it. Winning the lottery could be a blessing or curse depends on you.

Talking about dreams I'm going to do my bucket list and then I will post
here.

presidencial election is coming soon.

So, Let's get started talking about election this year in USA.
I'm here in USA 1 year and 9 month and I'm following about the election because all the time I turn on my TV and all the news is about election, but every four years election is the same in every countries a lot of promises, but no solution.
They're always talking about the same subject: health care, insurance, tax plan and education, however every years there're the same problems
I won't vote here in america, but if I could I will vote for Obama he's trying yo put Obamacare he says if he wins the election he will reform the healthcare. Most unsuranced americans requires to have insurance it means they'll have to get healthcare insurane I really dont know if it is good or not, but I think isn't fear I pay federal tax, state tax, income for someone who doesn't work or pay anything for that. In brazil all the employees pay tax, income whatever, but we pay for us for in the future we can get retire.
On the other hand I don't like Rommey he is republican and I think he isn't good enough for business. Rommey wants to increase taxes and decrease expensives not good in my opinion and he wants all the foreigners go away to their country and I think the immigrants help them increase an improve the economic sistem..
All the countries have universal health care and USA is the only one that doesnt have it. I was surprised to know that when I came here. USA is the number one country all over the world, but has the worse health care in the world. Unbelievable!!! In Brazil we dont called it universal health care the name is public health care "SUS" (Sistem Unique Health, in portugueses it is Sistema Unico de Saude).
If I get sick or get some emergency in brazil I can go to the hospital and I don't need to pay for it. of course, private hospital or clinic are better, fast and confortable. Many brazilian people says the "SUS" healthcare is the worst thing program ever, I know brazil isn't good, but in my opinion is better than over here. I'm talking about my state when I needed some emergency I had a good enough treatment.
Well, I don't know what will happen after election here and who will win, but united states of america isn't powefull economic country anymore it wasn't a good one country anymore.

I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE

How do black people live in NYC? Why do people black dating white people? why do black people have their own behavior?
Well, everybody knows I lived in NYC for a year around black people and I loved that experience. I lived around black people already in Brazil, but you know it was completely different experience I dont know explain it, however american black people are very different than brazilian black people. American black people looks like stronger, respected amd inteligent than brazilian black people.

I dated 2 black good-looking, educated and loving men. I like the way the talk, dance, I like the way they look at the world and most of them are very welcoming people. I know some of them use drugs and have a bad behavior, but many of them have goals, dreams as everybody has.

many black men decide to date white women because black girls are usually too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy and too materialistic and white girls are considered easy, they are docile and easy to control, but nowadays in my opinion a lot of black men, even white men, because of the insecurities, fears, have become intimidated by the strength of black women or white women. They are afraid that woman will be more successful than them, make more money than them, drive nicer cars and have their own houses and because of this fear, men in general look for a more docile woman, someone they can control.

I have talked to numerous black men and with my ex-boyfriends and they continously coment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women (it is not my situation).
I also agree that have many black women too mean, too loud, but some black women are docile and educate than us white women. I have some balck girlfriends and they are very very nice, work hard, go to school and have many responsabilities.
We know many things because of black women, it was a black woman that taught us many years ago how to cook and season the food. It was a black woman that taught us how to raise the children, it was a black woman who were breast feeding and raising their babies during the slavery, it is a black that had to endure watching their father, husbands and children beaten, killed and thrown in jail.
SO, WE HAVE RESPECT ALL THE COLOR, GENDER, RACE, RELIGION AND STOP THINKING WE ARE THE BEST BECAUSE WE ARE WHITE.

mother's love

I dont know if I tell u guys about the classes that I'm doing right now, but guess what??? I got the tutor!!! her name is Barbara she is amazing lady and I definitely love her.

Every once week she is teaching me english and I also have every monday night intermediate classes and wednesday conversation classes at the library for free I dont need to pay anything. Isn't cool??Barbara every week ask me to write an essay as a homework and last week she asked me to write 5 reasons why Do I love my mother? and here it is my an essay:

My mother is one of the people that I love the most in the world and she is the best mother ever. I wish I could repay her for all the sacrificies she did to me because I had a difficult childhood, but we survived together. I love her with all my heart. No one will love me as she does.
When I was 9 years ol my mother adopted me and everyone said:
"What hell are you doing? Are u crazy? Are u going to adopt an old child? Aren't you a little old for that? You supposed to adopt a newborn babyit would be easier". however my mother said:
"I feel as if she is child birth and I love her at the first time I saw her and yes EVERYONE I will adopt her and she will be my daughter now".
For a long time I only called her by her name, but one magic day I said: "hey, Mom"! and she cried and I thought I said something wrong, but she love it!
My birth single mother wasn't nice to me. she was a violent person and she spanked me when she was angry, mad, drunk, or took drugs I guess so. I definitely dont like my birth mother at all.
One day she spanked me and I ran away and I found a neighbor her name is Valci she is my adopt mother's sister and she become my aunt. I was so scared the day and she asked me if I was ok and I said to her everything about my life I told her about my hate for my birth mother and she helped out.
the justice department decided to put me in the orphanage when I was 6 years old I absolutely didnt like it, but better than stay with my birth mother. Some family adopted, but doesnt work out well, but one special day my adopted mother went the orphanage and saw me and we loved each other and yeah I'm adopted child and of course it wasn't easy for both of us and I have felt differently at different times of my life. I always kew I had another family, I always knew I was different and I struggled with this more or less depending on where I was in life. I also have been jeaulous of my brother even though I know he is irresponsible, immature and always buttering my mother up and she lets him do everything he wants. He is mama's boy he still live in with my mother and she always taking care him and his kids while Im here in USA taking care myself.
So, generally I have had a nice life, a lovely family even knowing my step father isn't a good step father or husband, I have had a great experience out the country, but even with that I wouln't wish the adopted experience for anyone because is wasn't easy at all to give a child up.

Well, this is my an essay and it is a true story of my life! I'm proud of being who I'm!

Aki vao as fotinhos. Enjoy it!

just update

Entao Galera! Nao sei qto tempo estou morando aki em Framingham, MA exatamente, mas creio q ja fazem 3 meses.
A novidade de hj e q comecei a fazer gym (academia). Uhulll!!!projeto sarada 2013.

I love it!!! the best ever.

Mas falo ingles all the time pork atendo o phone, atendo no balcao e uma pizzaria americana.

4th of july and Framingham city

Entao gente amanha e feriado aqui 4th of july dia da independencia em US.

Estou aqui quase 2 meses. Acreditam?? Nossa!!!!!!
Entao aki vai algumas fotinhos do cafofo onde estou me acomodando por tempo indeterminado. hahaha...

Domino's Pizza job

what's up pleople! Dai Galera!!

No next post vou falar e monstrar onde estou me acomodando.
See u then!

little regrets

Eu diria ensinar a sofrer, a morrer,

Decepção e arrependimento machuca, ensina a chorar, a desacreditar.

Ahhh...

Ohh triste!!
