Hi guys!!!!!!

I'm so sorry I have been away too long, but I'm working a lottttt I haven't been going to the gym regularly and taking care of myself. Any way... I have news for you guys.
July 7th, 2013 I started to work at the nursing home as CNA and I wrote a letter here it is:

July 30, 2013.

I'm currently working as CNA at the nursing home I just got the CNA job a few weeks ago and I hate it! I mean I love the residents at the nursing home and I think they really need care, but some employees and the labor pisses me off. They ask me to spend just 15 minutes with one resident and I think this is ridiculous the residents deserve more. I get paid squats and do the hardest job and I feel severely underpaid and overworked. I could be a babysitting or housecleaner and make more money than I do busting my back all day.
In my opinion, it makes a huge difference which type of facility I work in. I haven't tried any other one because it is my first job as CNA in USA, however I worked in difference facility in Brazil and I have heard there are worse and better facilities and there are some places that pay better.
For me dealing with incontinet and toileting has never bothered me, but I hate that Im always behind not because Im not quicker, but because I can't find anything and anyone to help me do things for residents who are two assistants.
I didn't like the place where I work, but I will keep going because I need the money and I have to get the experience and hospitals prefer people with experience and maybe later I will get used and like it.I know everything in the life is tempory like the pizza place, so let's do the best.

Hi, here I'm again. I'll try to come here more often, ok.
Well, I have good news for today.

First one is: Finally I got my license as CNA (NURSE ASSISTENT).

Second one is: Finally I tranfered my driver's license from New York to Massachutts and third one me and my boyfriend both are good so far. we are getting closer and get along. We met each other I guess october last year and we started dating in november, but we broke up in january because his ex-girlfriend called and said bad things, so I got mad and I thought he was a bad guy, but some months later we make up and I could realized that his ex-girlfriend was crazy, she was trying to stay with him, but he didnt want to date her anymore, any way he likes me and he decides to stay with me.

Right now I'm looking for a car for buying and I think I found one, but I will let you know later and I'm looking a job as CNA also.
that's all for today and I think I bought up a lot of good news and I'm so happy for that.
See you next time.

Boston's bomb.

Hi my Dear blog! I've been so busy working and studying about medical terminology and right now I have class with my tutor twice a week, so kind of busy...
I'll talking about the Marathon today I know I'm kind of late for that, however I have something to tell.

When I was a teenager and I was living in Brazil I heard about the most famous marathon "Boston's Marathon" and I always wanted to be part of it, but I always thought it would be very impossible.
Finally, this year my dream came true and I was able to be in the marathon, eventhough I wasn't running I was there riding my bike on that monday on a nice sunny day.
I got excited and motivided especially when I saw a lot of old people running like a guy who is around 75 years old.

After 3 hours of having fun and taking pictures I was almost at the finish line when suddently I noticed that something was happening and I saw a lot of police and me and my friends we were stopped by them and they told us that we had to come back because something had happened.
At that time I didnt know what the problem was, but later I found out that two bombs had explotd at the finish line.
It shocked me and made me so sad because I couln't go to the finish line and I got so upset and mad when I knew that two young boys did that and many people were hurt badly at the hospital.
It was unbelieveble!! Any way... I can't complain because I had a great time and good experience and for sure I want to do it again next year.

I just feel sorry about the victims of the Boston's marathon bomb and the young guys from Russia must pay for their crimes or mistakes because what they did doesnt have any reason.
Let's pray for Boston and all united states.

firewoman

I'm back here again... Hi everyone!!
Well, I was looking at my old pictures when suddenly I found the pictures from my job as a firewoman. I remember as if it were today I start to Train a learn a lot things about fire deparment and first aid. It was a great time and good experience. I met a lot people and I made good friends.
It took 8 months training and learning and we were always learning every day different emergency situation.

I started training while I was studying to become a nurse and I was a volunteer at fire departament and after some years the goverment started to pay a little. I worked at the fire department almost 4 or 5 years and when I was 19 years.

I always worked at the emergency medical service because I was studying to become a nurse also and I didn't like the fire service because is too hard for some women to do that job. I didn't like the job for several reasons: the hose water is very hard to hold and also the smell of burning and insulation and the feeling of the intense heat and being able to see absolutely nothing in the smoke the flame and being afraid of death and another thing that I didn't like at all it is when the capton or chef call duties.

It's also not easy working at the emergency medical service, but it was more familiar to me. I felt frustrated many times when I went to the emergency room and the doctor pronounces "dead" the beautiful  3 years old girl that I had been trying to save during the past 25 minutes. I thought it could be my niece who will never go on her first date or say the words, "I love you aunt again"...
It sucks to find a woman around 60 years old with no pulse, but I have to start CPR any way, hoping to bring her back, knowing sometimes it is too late.

I always heard good things when I was working there, but the terrible thing that I heard one day was:
"I thought this would never happen to me or it took a long time or forever for you get here". they dont how hard is our job to get at the right place.
Unless  you have lived with this kind of experience or situation, you will never truly understand or appreciate, we are or what our job really means.

Just news...

Hi, people! it's me again!! long time I dont see you!!

Im writing down in this blog because I want to unberden my feelings here. how to spot a fake friend??? well, I'm very disappointed with a friend of mine, I meant she is not my friend anymore I dont need a friend like her, of course I'll still talk to her because we still work together, but I won't tell her anything about my feelings or my private life she is definitaly my fake friend.
Since i moved to Framingham, MA she was helping me out and when I get the job at domino;s pizza I talked to my manager and my friend got the job as a driver. the same way she helped me I thought it was my duty help her also.
After some mounths I got promoted to assistant manager and in my opinion she doesnt like it or doesnt acepted it and because some other reasons she started to complain about me to my manager and I knew about it and I got so frustrated and disappointed.
So, Now I really dont care about her. I did what I should she scratchs my back and I scratched hers. now, it is done if she needs something she will have to get help from someone else. I realize how selfish and mean she is it.
and about the guy I gave him the last chance and about the red cross foundation, I'm just waiting for the next and I hope last test.

That's all for today!!

2012

I can honestly say 2012 was a year to remember.
My friends from Brazil came to NYC and we went out and had fun.
I left NYC and I moved out to Framingham, MA and I stay for while in my friends house and then I rent room and right now I'm living with 6 people in one house sometimes is good sometimes dont.
My friend Dani got a job for me at honey du cafe, but the guy didnt pay me because I found another job and left that one.
I started work at Dominos Pizza since I came here and I worked hard and I got promoted for assistant manager. I made new friends, but I got a best friend and his name is "Vasco" without him I wasnt able to do what I did and still doing.
I met a guy at the library and we start dating, but he cheats on me, so he didnt deserve me and now we are only friends.
I got a tutor her name is Barbara and I really love her and she is a good teacher.
I didnt pass the test in NY for a nurse assistant, but Im gonna try here at the Red Cross organization.
I have learned on the situations that occurre and I learned so much about friends, family, love and hard work and I can proudly admit that I've grown so much as a person.
2012 was a year full of closing doors but even more so opening windows.
2012 was ay year of learning how to balance time and priorities, how to be a little more patient and how to put myself and not let anything get in my way and it was a year that I learned no matter what happen do your best. and all I ask for the next up coming year is for God to continue to make me a better person. I cant trust no one just myself and no one knows me more than me. I don't ask for change but all I want is to continue in the path of greatness. People will always wish for your downfall but I will always be ahead.

                                      Here's to 2013: bring it on!

Next year is going to be even better: I'll be continuing with school and working. I'll also keeping work hard, make and save some money and I'll see if I should saty or go back to brazil the time will tell and I hope I this year most my dreams come true.

Being nurse in Brazil or USA.....

What's the difference between being a nurse in Brazil and USA?? I wrote about it already, but in my language (portuguese), but now I want to discussing in english.

I'm a tecnical nurse in Brazil is like a nurse the difference is the tecnical nurse studies two and a half years and  nurse (RN) studies 4 years.
In my opinion being a tecnical nurse is more than being a CNA (certified nurse assistant) or a LPN (License practical Nurse). I have reserched on the internet that LPN is 1 year of studying and CNA that I did is no more than 3 months and RN is 3 or 4 years I dont know exactly.
Actualy, I did the CNA course and I didnt learn anything it was just the basics like:
Hand washing;
Change sheets;
Bathing in bath;
feeding'
Walking with gail belt;
Change resident's position;
Empity contents of resident's urinary drainage bag and record;
Provide mouth care and nail care;
some exercicies for elbow, wrist, shoulder, hip, knee and anklee.

I didnt learn how to draw blood, measure blood pressure, temperature, how to find a vein, how to insert a tube, probe or carater or feeding by naso-gastric tube, medication,or how to medicate a resident this is only for LPN or RN.
The CNA is not able to do anything on the patient, just give them a bath, changing diapers or feeding, however it is can be the first step to know if you will like to being a nurse aide or LPN in USA and learn how the health sistem works.

The uniform are completely different form there to here. In Brazil we use white clothe with whie medical coat or aprons.
Usa they have several kinds of nurses like CNA, LPN, RN, midwife, doctor nurse, home health aide and etc.
In Brazil there is only two kinds of nurses is Tecnical nurse and a registered nurse,. Some years ago they had more kinds of nurses, but nowadays is only that.

By the way I didnt pass the test in NYC, but I went Red Cross and they allowed to do test here in Massachusetts, so Im getting ready to do test and I really would like to pass that time. wish me lucky!!!

Boston vs New York

What do I know about Boston and NYC? I dont know that much, but I can give you my opinion because I've lived in both cities Boston and NYC I mean not Boston but Framingham, MA which is very close from Boston and I always go to Boston because I think Framingham is very quiet.
NYC and Boston are both big cities, but very different in feeling. I love those cities and they are very beautiful cities, however Boston is more fancy than NYC and some parts of NYC are very dirty.

                                                Cambrige area in Boston and bicycles.

I like cambrige, somerville and quincy they are very near to Boston and They are pretty diverse. there are people from all over the world and the city of Boston is a little over 50% black people, but other suburban town is Boston are overwhelmingly white people though some suburban have a higher percentage of asian residents like Turkey and Russian every wesdnesday I have conversation class at the library and there are a big amount of Russian people.

 Framingham town and cushing Park.

                                                     Mount Vernon Town, NY

The area is very diverse, but not as diverse as NYC. No Comparison!!! Being safe kind of depends where you are in Boston or NYC because crimes exits everywhere, but most of the worst violent crimes happen in small neigborhoods as in Framingham, MA or Bronx, NY, but this is what people says I dont think so. Anyway, I find that Boston is pretty safe, but a lot of NYC is pretty safe too.

Rents are almost always lower in MA than NYC. Of course There are some places expensives like back bay, Becan hill are pretty expensives, but still cheaper than NYC. A lot of other things are cheaper in Boston than NYC like Subway, car insurance, gas and groceries. For exemplo: when I was living in NYC my room rent was 450,00 and here in Framingham is 350,00 of course in NY my room was better than here and the city that I lived was very near to Manhattan and I spent more money with food over there than here.

                                                       House in Framingham, MA

House in White Plains, NY.

My simple and cheap room in Framingham.

                                                       My last room in NYC

Boston's Public Transportation in my opinion are good, but from Framingham to Boston are vey bad, they dont have a good schedule and shut down very early and the service is not good here. NYC's subway they are good, but if you dont know the are or dont have any map you can get lost and crazy easily. When I came to NYC the subway drove me crazy sometimes because it is too crowded and there is a big distance to cover and I need to transfer many time and it could take a long to get home, but for me NYC's transportation still the best one in USA and NYC is the only place you will not need a car for anything. Its easy in NYCto find apt or hotelvery near to the subway, but in Boston I really dont know about it.

                                              train station in Framingham to Boston

                                              Subway in Manhattan, NYC
People in Boston are healthier and looks more beautiful than NYC. People in NYC are always rush and they alwways say: "TIME IS MONEY". If you go to boston like in Cambrige you will see most the people running at the Park, riding bicycle or walking, but in NYC if you do that you need to be carefull because there is a lot of traffic and the taxi cabs are very crazy in the city or you can only do your exercise at the Central Park.

                                                      Central Park, NYC

                                                Park in Boston.
The women have diferent bevarior in NYC. They are more sexy, agressive and pushy than over here in Boston. They always say: "if you dont take the guy another one will come and take it". In the beginning I thought it was so agressive, but now I can understand and other adverbs they always say is: "WHEN IN ROME, DO WHAT THE ROMANS DO".

English they always some program for free in Boston, you dont learn english because you dont want not because you dont time or even dont have money. In NYC they have some english program for free like here, but you need wait for long time and sometimes they are not good like here, at the end you have to pay for it. Since I move here I got some english classes like conversation and pronunciation and I got as well a tutor so Im studying enlgish and I dont pay anything, isnt amazing!!?

Well, Im not an american girl I'm from Brazil and I dont think that I can give you any advice or opnions, but I would recomended vititing both cities for at least a week to get a true feeling for them and use the public transpotation in both cities during rush hour.
Anyway, if you are backpacking or visiting just go to both cities, it is worth!! but if you are looking for a job or oportunities those are good as well, but you should know how much your future income will be and ask yourself about the cost of livig in these cities and then you can make up your mind.

Talking about myself...

I was invited to write an essay how I see myself from outside and inside (looks/ character/ personality) As if I was telling someone who has been watching me... Here it is:

Dear Friends let me know if u have something else to add and please dont get picky on my bad english spelling.

I always have had straight hair with freckels and dark eyes, white skin with a unique latino smile. Native from Brazil and I have no fears of people, languages or cultures because all they provide me oportunities to learn from them and grow and understand how the world is magic.

27 years old, born and raised in a difficult situation who reads my blog knows what im talking about it, but I got the best mother ever. Love to share and try what is good and have butterflies inside... Study and work is necessary, but if there is no fun and vision for the future it is not worth it!! Grateful for my schooling from pre-school all the way to tecnico nurse school.

I'm not enjoying that much my current job right now because they always take advantage of me and they dont pay me good enought, but I can't complimt a lot because Im immigrant and this job supports my dreams. I dont like to cook and I even dont know how to cook, but I love to try nes tastes and spices.

Dancing is the way I naturally expres my passion for life and apreciation for my body as divine gift. My mother means everything to me I can't think of being who I'm or even to progress in life without thinking of her. I'm jealous of my brother, a little crazy woman who sometimes doesnt know what want, but Im a hard worker and a nice person who doesnt want to give up my dreams. Going out with a nice colombian guy for while, Im enjoying his company but for now I dont know if we ar going work out we ar just getting know each other.

onde day will come kids with a lovely husband who will make my life even more blessed. Yesterday was a thanksgiving day and I everything I have to say that Im very thanksfull with everything in my life.
where are all these words came from?? Ohh, all from me!! Yes me Formally called as JAQUELINE ELLER and casually Jack.

New York City was especially hard hit and many people dead there. New York city took a vacation while last week without power, no train, no bus and no subway works and people coulnt go to work.
Here in Boston it was hard too, but no extensive damage. In my job no power, but the crazy people still working with a litlle power they had.

halloween 2012

Have you ever had the worst halloween??
Yeah, I had the worst halloween that I've never had in my life.
I went to the store and I bought my costume it was the most sexy costume that I've never bought before.
I went to work with my costume cause everyone said they would go with some costume, but everybody said to me they was making plans to go out after work like dance and drinks some beers. so, guess what??? Nobody go out!!! we are supposed to go a brazilian bar, but the brazilian bar was closed they said: it is better everyone go home and I said: let's go to america bar, however anyone wanna go to the america bar cause they dont feel confortable. what's fucking??? what's fucking their problem??? I couldn't believe I stayed home with my most sexy costume.
well, that's my worst halloween day ever!!
